Assoc. Prof. Branka Aukst Margetić, MD, PhD is a specialist in psychiatry and a subspecialist in biological psychiatry and psychotherapy

Assoc. Prof. Branka Aukst Margetić, MD, PhD with extensive clinical, academic, and scientific experience.

She graduated from the University of Zagreb School of Medicine in 1991 and completed her psychiatry residency in 2001. She worked at the Department of Psychiatry, University Hospital Centre Zagreb, and currently works at the University Hospital Centre “Sestre milosrdnice”.

She earned her PhD in 2010 and was granted the title of scientific advisor in 2017. She has completed additional psychotherapeutic training in group analysis and cognitive behavioural therapy.

She is the author of over 100 scientific papers (71 indexed in Current Contents), 14 book chapters, and has an h-index of 16 with over 1,000 citations. She teaches at the University of Zagreb School of Medicine and the Croatian Catholic University.
